Processors, Zelle & charity cards
Connect how money comes in
- Connect your payment processors
A processor is the company that actually charges a card or bank account (Sola/Cardknox, Stripe, NMI, USAePay…). Connect yours once and Yahiv can charge cards from the gift form, the giving page, the kiosk, the phone line and texts.
8 steps · Owners & admins - Connect Sola / Cardknox step by step
Sola (Cardknox) is a full connection: cards, bank (ACH) and OJC, Donors' Fund and Pledger charity cards all go through it. You need two keys from your Sola account.
8 steps · Owners & admins - Connect Stripe (Connect with Stripe)
Stripe connects with one button — you sign in to Stripe and approve, no keys to copy. With Stripe you also get Apple Pay / Google Pay on the giving page and the tap-to-pay card reader.
6 steps · Owners & admins - "Please reconnect Stripe" — what it means
If your Stripe was connected long ago by pasting a secret key, Yahiv asks you to reconnect it with one click. Nothing is lost — it is the same connection, now done the safer way.
4 steps · Owners & admins - Connect NMI and NMI-based processors (Banquest, SequelPay, PayArc, Interconnect, Blink)
Many card companies run on the NMI platform. Yahiv connects to all of them the same way, with two keys from your processor.
6 steps · Owners & admins - Set your default processor
The default processor is the one Yahiv uses whenever no rule and no campaign says otherwise. Change it with one button.
4 steps · Owners & admins - Send a campaign's money to its own processor
Each campaign can use its own processor — for example the building fund goes into a separate merchant account. Its giving page and staff card gifts for it use that processor.
4 steps · Owners & admins - Choose which processor each gift uses (e.g. big gifts through Zeffy)
Rules send each gift to the right processor by amount, payment type, where it was entered and campaign — for example "up to $3,000 → Sola, from $3,000 → Zeffy".
6 steps · Owners & admins - Test mode: make a test gift without real money
Every new account starts in test mode. Use test card numbers to practice charging, declines, receipts and refunds — no real money moves.
7 steps · Owners & admins - Connect Zeffy (0% fees) and import its gifts
Zeffy can't be charged from other software, but Yahiv imports every Zeffy payment by itself and can send large gifts to your Zeffy form.
5 steps · Owners & admins - "Payments to check": the processor didn't answer
Sometimes the card company doesn't answer clearly — the charge may or may not have gone through. Yahiv never guesses: it puts the payment on a list for a person to check, so nobody charges twice.
4 steps · Office staff - OJC, The Donors' Fund, Pledger and Matbia cards
Charity cards can be charged through Sola today, recorded by hand with the fund's confirmation code, or — once a fund gives its connection details — charged directly.
6 steps · Owners & admins - Card-testing protection (fraud on your giving page)
Fraudsters sometimes run stolen cards through donation pages to see which work. Yahiv spots it by the many declines and stops it by itself.
4 steps · Owners & admins - "Online card giving is paused" — what to do
After a burst of declined cards, Yahiv pauses card giving on your giving page and kiosk for 30 minutes. Here's how to check and turn it back on.
4 steps · Owners & admins - The Zelle inbox: Zelle gifts recorded by themselves
Yahiv gives you a receive-only email address for Zelle. Your bank emails it every time money comes in, and Yahiv records the gift on the right person and sends the receipt.
6 steps · Owners & admins - Set up the Zelle inbox with your bank (one time)
Add your Yahiv Zelle address to Zelle at your bank, so the bank's "you received money" emails go to Yahiv.
7 steps · Owners & admins - Zelle: a payment "needs a person"
When Yahiv can't tell for sure who sent a Zelle, it waits for you under "Needs a person" — with its best guesses ready to tap.
6 steps · Office staff - Zelle: who sent it? Suggestions and automatic recording
For Zelle payments it can't match for sure, Yahiv suggests up to three likely senders with how sure it is and why. You can also let it record clear winners by itself.
6 steps · Owners & admins - A Zelle went on the wrong person
Move the gift to the right person, and make Yahiv forget the wrong Zelle name so it doesn't happen again.
5 steps · Owners & admins - Show your Zelle address to donors
Donors can look up your Zelle address on Yahiv's Zelle page, and you can show it at the bottom of your giving page.
