A Zelle went on the wrong person
Move the gift to the right person, and make Yahiv forget the wrong Zelle name so it doesn't happen again.
- 1
Recorded automatically? Use Undo
If the payment shows "auto" in the inbox, open it and press "Undo". The gift is voided, the Zelle name forgotten, and you pick the right person. Done — skip the rest.
- 2
Otherwise open the gift
Open the payment in the Zelle inbox and click "receipt #…" (or find the gift under Giving).
Open the gift from Giving. - 3
Move it
In "Fix a mistake" → "Belongs to (move to another person)", pick the right person and press "Save changes".
Fix a mistake: move the gift to another person. - 4
Forget the wrong Zelle name
Settings → Zelle inbox → "Remembered Zelle names". Find the Zelle name next to the wrong person and press "Forget". You see "Forgotten". (This list shows only once at least one name has been remembered.)
- 5
Next time
The next payment from that Zelle name waits under "Needs a person". Pick the right person once and it's remembered.
Next time it waits here for you.
Tips
- Moving the gift keeps its receipt number. If a receipt already went to the wrong person, send a corrected one from the gift page.
- If the Zelle paid a pledge, also check "Applied toward commitment" on the gift after moving it.
If something isn't working
Next month it went on the wrong person again.
The remembered name wasn't forgotten. Moving a gift doesn't change the remembered Zelle name — do the "Forget" step.
There's no "Remembered Zelle names" list.
Nothing has been remembered yet, so there's nothing to forget.
