Connect Stripe (Connect with Stripe)
Stripe connects with one button — you sign in to Stripe and approve, no keys to copy. With Stripe you also get Apple Pay / Google Pay on the giving page and the tap-to-pay card reader.
Before you start
- You are the Owner of the Yahiv account.
- You have a Stripe account (or will make one during the sign-in — Stripe asks for your organization's details and bank account).

Open Payment processors
Settings → "Payment processors". Scroll to "Connect a processor". The first box is "Stripe".

Press Connect with Stripe
Press the purple "Connect with Stripe" button. A Stripe page opens. (If the box says "Connecting Stripe will be available shortly", the button isn't switched on yet for your account — contact Yahiv.)

Sign in and approve
Sign in to your Stripe account (or create one), pick the account that should receive donations, and press the button to connect. Stripe sends you straight back to Yahiv.

See "Stripe connected"
Back in Yahiv a green message says "Stripe connected". The new connection "Stripe" is at the top of the list, marked "active".

Make it the default
Press "Make default" on Stripe (unless you want another processor to be the default), and "Disable" on "Test mode (no real charges)".

Check Apple Pay / Google Pay
Open your giving page on a phone that has Apple Pay or Google Pay set up. The wallet button appears above the card boxes once an amount is chosen.

Tips
- Older Stripe connections made by pasting a key show a yellow box "Please reconnect Stripe (one click)". Reconnect — it keeps your donors, saved cards and history, and lets phone-line card payments work.
- To take cards in person with a Stripe card reader, see "Take a card in person".
If something isn't working
"Stripe connection expired — try again".
You took more than 15 minutes on the Stripe page, or signed in to Yahiv as someone else in between. Press "Connect with Stripe" again.
"Stripe connection cancelled".
You pressed back or cancel on the Stripe page. Press "Connect with Stripe" again and approve.
"Stripe is connected with the Connect with Stripe button (above) — no keys needed".
Stripe can't be added by typing keys. Use the purple button.
Reconnecting says "That's a different Stripe account from the one you had connected".
Sign in to the same Stripe account you used before, so saved cards keep working. If you really moved to a new Stripe account, connect it as a new connection instead.
