Set your default processor

The default processor is the one Yahiv uses whenever no rule and no campaign says otherwise. Change it with one button.

Before you start

  • You are the Owner.
  • At least two connections exist (for example your real processor and the test one).
  1. 1

    Open Payment processors

Settings → "Payment processors". The current default has a "default" badge.

The connection with the "default" badge is used when nothing else decides.
  2. 2

    Press Make default

On the connection you want, press "Make default". You see "Updated" and the badge moves to it. (The button doesn't show on Zeffy — Zeffy can't charge cards, so it can't be the default.)

  3. 3

    Disable what you don't use

Press "Disable" on connections you no longer use, such as "Test mode (no real charges)". Disabled ones can't be picked on the gift form. "Enable" brings one back.

  4. 4

Check it on the gift form

Record → Gift, type an amount and choose Credit card. The line "$… goes through …" shows which processor will be used.

The gift form shows which processor the amount goes through.

Tips

  • Order of choice: first your rules (Processor rules & fees), then the campaign's own processor, then the default.
  • Saved cards stay with the processor that saved them. A recurring gift keeps charging through its own processor even after you change the default.

If something isn't working

The gift form still shows the old processor.

A rule or the campaign is choosing it. Check Settings → Processor rules & fees and the campaign's "Money for this campaign goes to".

There is no "Make default" button.

Only the Owner sees the buttons. Or it is already the default, or it is Zeffy.
