Send a campaign's money to its own processor

Each campaign can use its own processor — for example the building fund goes into a separate merchant account. Its giving page and staff card gifts for it use that processor.

Before you start

  • The processor for this campaign is already connected under Payment processors.
  1. 1

    Open the campaign

Click "Campaigns" in the top menu and click the campaign's name.

Click the campaign you want to change.
  2. 2

Find "Money for this campaign goes to"

Scroll to "Settings". The box "Money for this campaign goes to" says "Organization default processor" unless you changed it.

Pick the processor for this campaign.
  3. 3

    Choose the processor and save

Pick the connection and press "Save campaign".

    Save the campaign.
  4. 4

    Check it

Open the campaign's giving page and record a card gift for the campaign: the gift form's line "… goes through …" switches to that processor as soon as you pick the campaign.

Tips

  • A rule under Processor rules & fees that names a campaign wins over this setting.
  • The kiosk with ?c=<campaign link> also uses the campaign's processor.

If something isn't working

My connection isn't in the list.

It is disabled or not yet connected. Check Settings → Payment processors.

Gifts for the campaign still go through another processor.

A rule under Settings → Processor rules & fees fits those gifts first. Rules win over the campaign's setting.
