OJC, The Donors' Fund, Pledger and Matbia cards
Charity cards can be charged through Sola today, recorded by hand with the fund's confirmation code, or — once a fund gives its connection details — charged directly.
Before you start
- For charging OJC / Donors' Fund / Pledger cards today: Sola is connected.
- For a direct connection: the fund has given you a connection address and API key.
- 1
Option 1 — charge through Sola
If Sola is connected, nothing else is needed. On the gift form choose "OJC / Matbia / charity card" → "Process charity card now" and type the card.

Option 2 — record a card already run
Ran the card on the fund's own site or terminal? On the gift form choose "OJC / Matbia / charity card" → "Record a card already run (fund's confirmation code)". Pick the fund, type the confirmation code and (optional) the last 4 digits. The card number is never typed into Yahiv.

Option 3 — add the fund
Settings → "Payment processors" → "Any other processor" → choose the fund (under Charity cards / DAFs). "Mode" starts at "Manual (no connection yet)".
Charity funds start in Manual mode. - 4
Switch to Connected
When the fund gives you details: Mode → "Connected — charge the fund directly". Fill in the connection address (starts with https://), API key, secret if any, and your organization ID at the fund. Pick "Yes — sandbox / test" only for a test account. Press Connect / Save.
- 5
Press Verify connection
On the fund's connection press "Verify connection". Success: "… connection verified — charity cards can now be charged through it" and a green "connected · verified" badge.
Sandbox only for a test account from the fund. - 6
What changes after verifying
The fund appears on the gift form for charity cards, can be picked in Processor rules & fees, and the giving page shows "Pay with your OJC card" (and the other verified funds).
Tips
- Changing the address, key or mode un-verifies the connection — press Verify again.
- Yahiv keeps only the last 4 digits and the fund's confirmation code. Refunds go back to the fund the same way.
- Sola keeps charging charity cards as before, connected fund or not.
If something isn't working
"Connected mode needs the fund's connection address and API key — or keep Manual mode for now".
Fill both, or switch Mode back to Manual.
"The fund's connection address must start with https://".
Copy the exact address the fund gave you, starting with https://.
"Couldn't verify: …" (and "Last verify failed" under the connection).
Check the key, the organization ID and that Sandbox matches the kind of account. Fix under Edit credentials, Save, and Verify again. If it still fails, send the message to the fund's support.
Badge says "connected · not verified yet".
Press "Verify connection". Until then the fund is not used for charging.
