A scanned check was read wrong
Reading handwriting isn't perfect. Fix the amount before you record — or fix the gift afterwards.

Before recording: look for yellow
Yellow boxes are fields Yahiv wasn't sure about. If the number box and the written words disagree it says so, e.g. "(the number box says $180, the words say $18)". Trust the words line — that's what the bank pays.
Yellow fields need a look before recording. - 2

Fix the amount before pressing Record. - 4
Already recorded?
Open the gift (Giving → the gift) → "Fix a mistake" → change the "Amount" (or Check #, Date) → "Save changes".
Fix a mistake on the gift page. - 5
Wrong person?
On the same box, "Belongs to (move to another person)" → pick the right person → Save changes.
Tips
- If a receipt already went out with the wrong amount, resend the receipt from the gift page after fixing it.
- Already deposited? Fix the gift anyway — the deposit total updates.
If something isn't working
The amount box can't be changed on the gift.
Card and processor gifts can't be changed. A scanned check can — make sure you opened the right gift.
The check bounced because it was really less.
On the gift, mark it bounced (the Deposit buttons), then record the right amount as a new check.
