Collect on your phone (door to door, events) and the lobby kiosk
Collect is a phone-sized screen for taking cash, checks, charity cards and Zelle on the go โ pick the person, type the amount, tap how they paid, Save. The kiosk is a tablet in the lobby where people tap an amount and pay by card.
Before you start
- You have a Yahiv login that may record gifts (Staff, Admin, or a Fundraiser login).
- "Collect & hand-ins" is on under Settings โ Features (it is, unless someone turned it off).

Open Collect
On your phone, open Yahiv and press "Record" โ "Collect (phone)". Or go straight to /collect.

Pick who
Under "Who" type a few letters of the name, phone or account number and tap the person. Not in the list? Tap "Not in the list? Add them" and type first name, last name and (optional) cell.

Type the amount
Type it in the big "Amount" box.

Tap how they paid
Tap Cash, Check, Charity card or Zelle. For a check type the "Check # / voucher #" and tap "๐ท Check photo" to take a picture.

Campaign, note, receipt
Pick the campaign if asked. Add a note if needed. Leave "Text / email them a receipt" ticked to send a receipt.

Save
Press "Save". You see "$180.00 from Moshe Klein saved". The form is ready for the next person.

Cards
For a card, Apple Pay or Google Pay open "Card, Apple Pay or Google Pay" โ send it to a card reader, or show a QR code the donor pays with on their own phone.

The lobby kiosk
On a tablet open your kiosk page: /kiosk/<your page link> (add ?c=<campaign link> for one campaign). People tap an amount (your preset amounts), pay by card, and can add name and email for a receipt. It resets itself after a minute of no use.
Tips
- "Today" shows your total since midnight, how many gifts, anything pending, and declines (not counted).
- At the end of the day, hand in your cash and checks from the same screen (see "End-of-shift hand-in").
- Collect works without signal too โ see "Collecting without signal".
If something isn't working
"Pick the person, or type a new person's first and last name".
You didn't tap a person from the list. Tap one, or open "Not in the list? Add them".
"Enter the amount".
The amount box is empty.
"Choose one of your campaigns".
Your login only works with certain campaigns. Pick one of them in the campaign list.
The message ends with "note: check #โฆ may have been entered before".
It was saved anyway (you're standing at the door), and the office got a "Possible duplicate" note. Tell the office if it's really a second check.
"Record โ Collect (phone)" isn't in the menu.
Collect is switched off. An admin turns on "Collect & hand-ins" under Settings โ Features.
