Pledges from a photo of the list (aliyos, pledge cards)

Take a picture of the gabbai's aliyos list, dinner pledge cards or any handwritten list. Yahiv reads each line — name (English or Hebrew), amount and honor — and finds the person. You check every line before saving.

Before you start

  • The AI assistant is connected for your account (the same one used for scanning checks).
  1. 1

    Open Pledge list photo

    Record → "Pledge list photo".

Take a photo of the list.
  2. 2

    Take a good photo

Flat, well lit, the whole page in the picture. Press "Read the list".

One flat, well-lit photo of the whole page.
  3. 3

    Set the details

Fill "Occasion (added to each)" e.g. Shabbos Noach, the date, the type (מתנה בלי נדר or Pledge) and the campaign.

  4. 4

    Check every line

Each row shows what was written and the person found (✓ name). Press "change" to pick another, or "Not in People — add as a new person". Fix amounts. Untick lines you don't want.

  5. 5

    Save

Press "Save 12 pledges". You see "12 pledges saved ($2,340.00), 1 new person added." — and a link "See commitments →". Each has its own pay link.

The new pledges appear under Commitments.

Tips

  • The photo isn't kept.
  • Send the pay links right away with a reminder plan, or let a plan pick them up when they're past due.

If something isn't working

"Reading photos needs the AI to be connected".

Ask Yahiv support to connect it for your account.

"That photo is too big (10 MB at most)" or "Use a JPG or PNG photo".

Take it again with the normal camera, or send a smaller copy.

"That's a lot of photos for one hour — try again later".

More than 60 in an hour. Wait a while.
