The aging report — and what to do with old pledges
See how long money has been owed, where each part stands, and how collecting is going. Then work the oldest first.
- 1
Open Aging & collecting
Giving → "Commitments" → "Aging & collecting". Pick a campaign at the top, or "All campaigns".
Still owed, past due, promised and written off. - 2
How old it is
Bars for "Not due yet", "1–30 days late", "31–60 days", "61–90 days" and "Over 90 days" (red). Age counts from the due date — or the day it was made if there's no due date.

Where it stands
Normal, Promised, Payment plan, Disputed, Paused, Written off — with "see them" links.
Where collecting stands. - 4
Work the list
Click "Past due" to see the commitments. Start with the biggest and oldest: call, send the pay link, or start a reminder plan.
- 5
Set the right status
On each commitment set what's really going on — see "Mark a commitment Promised, Payment plan, Disputed…". Statuses keep reminders from going to the wrong people.

Write off what won't come
If it truly won't be paid, an admin marks it "Written off" with a note. It comes off every balance and is kept on record.
- 7
Check progress
"Collected toward commitments" shows each month's collections and how much of it was past due.
Collected each month, and how much was late.
Tips
- Turn on a reminder plan so new past-due commitments are followed up by themselves.
- Who to call today already puts the most promising past-due people at the top.
- Look at it once a month with your treasurer.
If something isn't working
A commitment shows as past due but the donor paid.
The payment wasn't applied to it. Open the gift → "Applied toward commitment" → pick it → Save.
Old pledges with no due date look "late".
Without a due date, age counts from the day it was made. Add a due date on the commitment if it was agreed for later.
