Reminder plans: text → email → call for money owed
A reminder plan sends a text, then an email, then makes a call task — on the days you choose — and stops by itself once the commitment is paid.
Before you start

Open the plans
Settings → "Collecting & reminders" → "Reminder plans for money owed". The first time, "+ New reminder plan" is open with a ready-made plan.

Name and minimum
"Plan name" (e.g. Past-due pledges) and "Only when owed at least $" (0 = any amount). Leave it "On".
Name the plan and set a minimum. - 3
Join automatically?
Tick "Every commitment that goes past due joins this plan by itself" — or leave it unticked and start it by hand on a commitment.

The steps
Each row: "Day" (0 = the day it joins), "How" (Text, Email, or Call (a task)), and the message. Use fill-ins like {{first_name}}, {{balance}}, {{pay_link}}, {{org_name}}.

Save plan
Press "Save plan". You see "Reminder plan saved".

Start one by hand
Open a commitment → "Collecting" → pick the plan → "Start reminders". It shows "step 1 of 3, next …" and a "Stop reminders" button.

Giving → Commitments → "Aging & collecting" → "Reminder plans": joined, running, paid in the end, and collected.

Tips
- Plans stop by themselves when paid — or when the commitment is marked Payment plan, Disputed, Paused or Written off. "Promised" waits until the promised date.
- Your contact limit still applies. Receipts don't count toward it.
- {{pay_link}} is the donor's own link to pay that commitment — always include it.
If something isn't working
"Give the plan a name" / "Add at least one step".
Fill in the name, and at least one row with a day and how.
A donor didn't get a reminder.
They may have "Do not text" / "Do not email", be at the contact limit, or it's Shabbos (it waits). See "A donor says they didn't get the text".
"No reminder plans yet — make one" on a commitment.
