Backups
Everything is backed up automatically every night, encrypted. Download any day's backup as Excel, make one now, or test that a backup really restores.

Open Backups
Go to Settings → Backups. The top shows the last backup, how long backups are kept (every day for 5 weeks, then the first of each month for a year) and where they're stored.

Back up now
Before a big change (like an import), click “Back up now”.

Download a backup
In the list, click “Download (Excel)” on any day. Or click “Download everything now (Excel)” for a fresh copy.

Test a restore
Once a month Yahiv puts your latest backup back into a separate scratch area (never over your data) and checks every record and that the money adds up. Click “Test a restore now” to run it yourself. ✓ Passed means your backup is good.

Tips
- To bring back one deleted person, voided gift or cancelled pledge, use the Recycle bin instead.
- A full restore of a backup is done by the Yahiv system administrator — contact support.
If something isn't working
A backup shows “Failed”.
Hold the mouse over it to see why, then click “Back up now”. If it fails again, contact support.
I deleted something by mistake.
Look in Settings → Recycle bin first (30 days). For anything else, contact support with the date.
