Download journal entries for QuickBooks or Xero
Download a file of daily journal entries for any dates and import it into QuickBooks Online or Xero — no connection needed.

Set the accounts first
In Settings → Accounting → "Accounts" type your account names exactly as they appear in your books, and press "Save accounts".

Choose the dates
Under "Download journal entries" fill in "From" and "To". It starts with this month.

Choose the program
In "For" choose "QuickBooks Online (journal import)" or "Xero (manual journal import)".

Download
Press "Download CSV". You get one entry per day.

Import it
In QuickBooks Online use the journal entry import; in Xero use Manual Journals → Import. Your bookkeeper can help the first time.
Tips
- Don't download and import the same dates twice — your books would count them twice.
- Close the month after importing so the numbers can't change underneath you.
If something isn't working
The file is empty.
There were no gifts that went through in those dates. Check the From and To dates.
Xero rejects the account.
For Xero, type each account's code (not its name) in "Accounts", then download again.
