Donor covers the fee on the giving page
What donors see when you offer them to cover the card fee on your giving page, and how to turn it on — so 100% of their gift reaches you.
Before you start

Open Processor rules & fees
Settings → "Processor rules & fees" → "Donor covers the processing fee".

Turn it on
Tick "Offer donors to add the fee to their gift". Tick "Ticked by default" if the box should start ticked.

Where
Tick "On the online giving page" and/or "When staff enter a gift".
Offer it online, to staff, or both. - 4
The fee
"General fee %" (e.g. 3) and "Plus per transaction $" (e.g. 0.30). Each processor can have its own % and $ in the table; the last column shows what a donor adds on a $100 gift.
The fee: a percent plus an amount per gift. - 5
Save
Press "Save".

What donors see
"Add $3.40 to cover the processing fee, so 100% of my gift goes to the cause." The Give button shows the total.
With an amount chosen, the cover-the-fee box shows above the card.
Tips
- The fee is worked out so that after the processor's cut you receive the full gift.
- It counts toward the donor's giving and receipt, but never toward a pledge balance.
If something isn't working
"Fee percent should be between 0 and 15".
Type a percent from 0 to 15.
The box doesn't show for a gift.
It's hidden for Zeffy gifts and charity cards.
