Donor app: "My giving" on the home screen, reminders as notifications
Your donor portal works like an app on donors' phones — on their home screen in your color, with Face ID sign-in, one-tap pay and reminders as notifications.
- 1
Add it to the home screen
In the portal donors see "Put <your name> on your home screen". Android / Chrome: one tap on "Add to home screen". iPhone: Share (the square with an arrow) → "Add to Home Screen". It opens as "<your name> — My giving" in your color.
The portal on a phone — it can be added to the home screen. - 2
Face ID sign-in
"Use Face ID / fingerprint next time" after a code sign-in. See "Donor sets up Face ID".
- 3
Reminders as notifications
Under "This phone" → "Reminders as notifications" → "Send reminders to this phone". Automatic pledge reminders and yahrzeit notes come as a notification instead of a text or email.
After signing in, "This phone" has the notification switch. - 4
One-tap pay
Pledges show "Pay with Visa •••• 4242" when a card is on file.
Tips
- Notifications still count toward your contact limits, and never go on Shabbos or Yom Tov — then they wait and go the usual way after havdalah.
- Reminders you send yourself from a pledge go by the channel you pick.
If something isn't working
"On iPhone: first add this page to your Home Screen…, open it from there, then turn notifications on here."
iPhones allow notifications only for home-screen apps. Add it, open it from the icon, and turn it on.
"Notifications are blocked for this website in your browser's settings."
Allow notifications for the site in the phone's settings, then press the button again.
