Track what a campaign cost
Add the hall, food, printing, ads and fundraiser fees to a campaign to see what it really brought in and how much it cost to raise each dollar.
Before you start
- A campaign.
- 1
Open the campaign
Click "Campaigns" and the campaign. Find "What it cost".
Raised, costs, net and cost to raise $1. - 2

One line per bill. - 3
Read the numbers
"Raised" is money that came in (after refunds). "Costs" is everything you added. "Net" is what's left (red if you lost money). "Cost to raise $1" is e.g. "12¢".

Go to "Insights" → "Campaign costs" to see every campaign side by side. Many charities aim for under 20¢ per dollar.
All campaigns compared.
Tips
- "Raised" here counts real money only — open pledges and the match aren't included.
- Add costs as bills come in so the board sees the true net.
If something isn't working
"How much did it cost?"
The amount box was empty or 0. Type the amount and click "Add cost" again.
"Raised" here is lower than on the campaign card.
This box counts only money that came in, after refunds — not open pledges and not the match. The campaign card adds the match.
I can't add costs.
