Before you start

  • An Owner or Admin login to create the event and its items.
  • Optional: a campaign for the dinner, so the money counts toward it.
  1. 1

    Open Events

Click "Programs", then the "Events" tab. You see your events with "Sold", "Guests" and "Checked in".

Every event with what was sold.
  2. 2

    Create the event

Scroll to "New event". Type the "Name" (e.g. "Annual Dinner"), the "Date & time", the "Venue", pick a "Campaign (optional)" and a short "Description (public page)". Keep "Sell online too" ticked to get a public page. Click "Create event".

    Name, date, venue and campaign.
  3. 3

    Add a ticket

On the event's page, under "Tickets, sponsorships & ads", type e.g. "Couple", keep "Ticket", "Price $" 360, "Seats" 2. Click "Add". "Seats" is how many guests each one brings.

Each item has a type, price, seats and an optional limit.
  4. 4

    Add a table

Add "Table of 10" as a Ticket with "Seats" 10. To stop selling after a number, type it in "Limit" (e.g. 30 tables).

A limit stops sales when it's sold out.
  5. 5

    Add sponsorship levels

Add "Gold sponsor" with type "Sponsorship", the price, and how many seats come with it (e.g. 10). Sponsors get guest seats just like tickets.

  6. 6

    Add journal ads

Add "Full-page ad", "Half-page ad" with type "Journal ad" and Seats 0. Buyers type their ad wording when they buy.

  7. 7

    Share the online page

At the top of the event, next to the date, is "online: /shop/your-org/event/…". Send that link — buyers pick items, add guest names and ad wording, and pay by card.

    The public page buyers use.
  8. 8

    Add pictures

On the event's page, under "Tickets, sponsorships & ads", each item has a "Picture (ticket page)" box: drop a picture on it or tap to choose — it shows next to that item on the public page. Under "Banner & background on the ticket page" add a banner and a background for this dinner. They're saved as soon as you add them.

Tips

  • Everything sold counts toward the campaign you picked, so the dinner shows on the campaign's totals.
  • Without its own banner or background, the ticket page uses the ones in Settings → "Page design & pictures".
  • To change the date or venue later, use "Edit event" at the bottom of the event's page.
  • The four boxes at the top — Sold, Orders, Guests, Checked in — update as you go.

If something isn't working

"… is sold out"

That item reached its "Limit". Add the item again with a new limit, or sell a different item.

"At most 100 of … in one order"

One order can have up to 100 of each item. Split a huge order in two.

There's no online page link.

"Sell online too" isn't ticked. Tick it in "Edit event" and click Save.
