WhatsApp receipts and reminders with a Pay button
Turn on one box and receipts, pledge reminders and bills go by WhatsApp to everyone who agreed — with buttons: Pay now, Update my card, My balance.
Before you start
- WhatsApp is set up (Settings → Email, SMS & WhatsApp).

Open the box
Settings → "Email, SMS & WhatsApp" → "Receipts and reminders by WhatsApp".

Tick it and save
Tick "Send receipts and reminders by WhatsApp when the person has WhatsApp" and Save. You see "Receipts and reminders will go by WhatsApp to people who have it".

Pay now
Charges the card on file toward the open balance and sends a receipt. Same limits as paying by text: up to $1,000 at a time, 4 a day, each tap charges once. No card on file? They get the secure pay link.

Update my card / My balance
"Update my card" sends their private card-update link. "My balance" shows what's open.

Typing works too
PAY, CARD or BALANCE typed into WhatsApp do the same. STOP still opts them out.
Only people with OK to WhatsApp get it.
Tips
- It goes only to people with "OK to WhatsApp" on their profile; everyone else keeps getting texts or emails.
- Where buttons aren't available the message ends with "Reply PAY to pay with your card on file, CARD to update your card, or BALANCE."
If something isn't working
A donor tapped Pay now and got a link instead.
There's no card on file for them. Once they pay through the link with their card saved, Pay now works.
Pay now said "we couldn't take that payment (…)".
The card was declined or a limit was reached ($1,000 at a time, 4 a day). The reply includes a secure link to pay another way.
