WhatsApp: receipts, reminders and messages
Send receipts, pledge reminders and messages by WhatsApp to people who agreed, and answer them in Outreach → Messages.
Before you start
- WhatsApp is set up (see "Set up WhatsApp").

Tick OK to WhatsApp
On the person's profile → Edit → tick "OK to WhatsApp" and save. People who write to you on WhatsApp are ticked automatically.

Receipts by WhatsApp
Set their "Receipts" to "WhatsApp only", or on any gift press "WhatsApp receipt".

Pledge reminders
On a pledge, the reminder has a WhatsApp button.

Messages to many
Outreach can send to everyone who agreed to WhatsApp.

Replies
Replies arrive in Outreach → Messages, marked "WhatsApp".
WhatsApp conversations are in Messages too.
Tips

- Each WhatsApp message counts on your usage like a text.
If something isn't working
WhatsApp messages aren't going out.
Check the person has "OK to WhatsApp" and a cell number, and that "Send by WhatsApp too" is on with the sender number and template filled in under Settings → Email, SMS & WhatsApp.
The WhatsApp button on a pledge says no.
The person doesn't have "OK to WhatsApp" ticked. Tick it on their profile (with their OK).
