Before you start

  • Your login can use Outreach.
  1. 1

    Open Messages

Click "Outreach" → "Messages". On the left are conversations; bold names have unread messages with a yellow count.

    Conversations, newest first.
  2. 2

    Open a conversation

Click one. You see the whole back-and-forth, including what you sent them (with who sent it).

  3. 3

    Reply

Type in "Write a reply…", choose "Text message" or "WhatsApp", and press "Send".

Click a conversation to open it and reply.
  4. 4

    Unknown number?

Press "add as a person" under the number — the new person form opens with the number filled in.

  5. 5

    Mark read

Opening a conversation marks it read. "mark read" at the top does it without replying.

  6. 6

    Get told about new ones

New messages show under the bell → "Replies". To also get them by email: My account → "Email me when…" → "Someone answers a text or WhatsApp message".

    New messages show under Replies.

Tips

  • STOP still opts people out, and keyword texts ("DONATE 50") still get the giving link automatically.
  • Never ask anyone to text a card number. Send them their card-update link instead.

If something isn't working

"No messages yet."

Nobody has texted your number yet. Text-to-give replies that are handled automatically (DONATE, BALANCE…) don't need answering.

Your reply shows "not delivered".

The number can't get texts (landline or blocked). Call them instead.

Your reply shows "logged only".

Texting isn't connected for your account. Contact Yahiv support.
