Before you start

  • Volunteers signed up with a cell phone (or email).
  1. 1

    Reminders go by themselves

The day before (or the same day, if they signed up late) each volunteer gets: "Reminder from …: you signed up to help with "Purim packaging" tomorrow at 10:00 — Shul basement. Thank you!"

    Shifts with their sign-ups.
  2. 2

    See who was reminded

On the shift, each name shows "· reminded" once the text went out.

  3. 3

    Mark who came

After the shift click "Came" next to each person. They get a green "came" tag.

"Came" and "Cancel" next to each name.
  4. 4

    Cancellations

Click "Cancel" next to someone who can't make it. The spot opens up again.

A cancelled spot opens on the sign-up page again.
  5. 5

    Thank them

Click a volunteer's name (if they're in People) to open their profile and send a thank-you.

Tips

  • Volunteers with no cell get the reminder by email.
  • Shifts from the last 7 days stay on the page so you can mark attendance.

If something isn't working

Someone didn't get a reminder.

They need a cell or email on the sign-up. If they were added by name only, there's nowhere to send it.

I can't mark "Came".

You need edit access to People. Ask an Owner in Settings → Team & roles.
