The gift shows "Pending"
"Pending" means the processor hasn't finished yet. Bank transfers (ACH) take a few days. A card gift stuck on Pending may need a check.
- 1
What kind of gift?
Open the gift and look at "Payment type". Bank transfers (ACH) normally stay "Pending" for 3–5 business days, then turn to "Approved" or "Declined" by themselves.
Pending gifts have an amber badge. - 2
Pending gifts don't count yet
A pending gift doesn't count in totals or toward a pledge, and no receipt goes until it clears. That's on purpose — it may still bounce.

Card gifts: check "Payments to check"
If the card processor didn't answer, the charge may or may not have gone through. Open Giving → Payments to check (the link appears in alerts).
Charges where the processor didn't answer. - 4
Look in the processor's website
Search for the charge in your processor's own website. Then say what happened on "Payments to check".
Your processors — open their website to look up the charge. - 5
Still pending after a week?
Contact your processor with the reference shown on the gift ("Processor" line), and let Yahiv support know.
Tips
- Approvals that couldn't be saved are recorded by themselves within a few minutes.
- Never record a pending gift a second time by hand — wait for it to clear or fail.
If something isn't working
The donor's bank shows the money left their account.
Bank transfers leave the donor's account before they reach yours. Wait for it to clear.
It turned to "Declined" days later.
The bank returned it (for example not enough money). Contact the donor for another way to pay.
