A check scan is stuck or won't record
Scanned checks wait on Giving → Scan checks until someone presses Record. Here's what to do when a check won't go through.
- 1
It's waiting for you
Every scanned check waits on Giving → "Scan checks" until you check the details and press "Record …". Nothing is recorded by itself.
Each check waits for you to press Record. - 2
Nothing was filled in
If the amount and name are empty, the check wasn't read (the AI reading isn't connected, or the photo was unclear). Type the details next to the picture.
Type the amount if it wasn't read. - 3
"looks like it was already recorded"
Yahiv found a check with the same number. If it really is a different check, tick "Not a duplicate — it's a different check" and press Record again. "This same photo was uploaded before" means the exact picture is already in — Skip it.

Other messages
"Choose who the check is from", "Enter the amount", or "Choose one of your campaigns" (for logins limited to some campaigns). A closed month also stops it — see "I can't change a gift".
- 5
The photo wouldn't upload
"… file(s) skipped — only JPG, PNG or WEBP photos up to 8 MB". iPhone photos are often HEIC: in iPhone Settings → Camera → Formats choose "Most Compatible", or take a screenshot of the photo and upload that.
- 6
Skip one
Press "Skip" for a photo you don't need. Up to 25 checks can be uploaded at a time.
Skip photos you don't need.
Tips
- Recorded checks wait in Giving → Deposits as "Not deposited".
- Good light and a dark background help the reading.
If something isn't working
"Already recorded".
Someone recorded it a moment before you. Open Giving to see it.
The wrong person is suggested.
Change the person in the box before pressing Record.
Still stuck after all these checks?
Press the help button and ask Yahiv, or write to Yahiv support with what you tried and a screenshot. Nobody minds — that's what support is for.
