Is Yahiv slow? Speed check
For organizations that run their own copy of Yahiv: the Speed check measures how fast the app reaches its database and tells you exactly what to change if it's slow.
Who does this: Owners & admins4 steps
- 1
Open Speed check
Go to Settings → Speed check.
One trip to the database, and where each part runs. - 2
Read the result
“One trip to the database” shows a time in ms with fast, OK or slow. Below it: where the app runs, where the database is, and whether Neon connection pooling is on.
- 3
Do what it says
Under “What to do” it lists exact steps, for example moving the app's Vercel region next to the database, turning on Neon connection pooling, or turning off Neon's “Scale to zero”. These are for whoever set up your server.
What to do, step by step. - 4
Still slow?
If it says “The connection looks good”, tell Yahiv support which page is slow.
Tips
- Organizations on Yahiv's own service don't need to change anything here — just tell support which page is slow.
If something isn't working
Only the first click after a quiet time is slow.
The database was asleep. Turn off “Scale to zero” in Neon, as the page explains.
