Book the hall and bill it

Keep track of who has the hall or a room when. Take requests online, confirm them, and the rent becomes a commitment you can bill and they can pay online.

Before you start

  • Your login can record gifts.
  1. 1

    Add your rooms

Programs → "Hall rentals". Under "Rooms" click "+ Add a room". Type the name ("Main hall"), "Rent $", "Deposit $", "Up to how many people", a short description and your rules. Click "Save room".

    Add each room once.
  2. 2

    Book a date

Under "Book a date" pick the room, the date, the hours, the event (e.g. "Bar mitzvah kiddush"), "Who is renting", guests, and "Rent $ (blank = room price)".

"Book a date" appears once you have a room.
  3. 3

    Confirm now

Keep "Confirm now (makes the rent an open commitment)" ticked and click "Book". You see "Booking saved".

  4. 4

    Requests from the website

Click "Public request page" and share it. Requests come in as "requested" with an alert, and the box "Waiting for you to confirm" counts them.

    Share the request page.
  5. 5

    Confirm a request

Click "Confirm" on the request. If it says "Who is it?", pick the person first. You see "Confirmed — the rent is now an open commitment you can bill".

  6. 6

    Bill it

Click "bill" under the rent to open the commitment and send a pay link, or record the payment.

Tips

  • Bookings are listed by month with the Hebrew date.
  • Cancel with "Cancel" — if nothing was paid, the commitment is cancelled too.
  • The deposit is shown for the room but isn't billed by itself — add it to the rent or bill it separately.

If something isn't working

"Main hall is already booked then"

A confirmed booking overlaps those hours. Pick another time or room.

"Pick who is renting first"

Click "Who is it?", pick the person, Save, then "Confirm".

"Cancelled — money was already paid on this booking, so its commitment was kept"

Refund or adjust the payment from the commitment.
