Donor asks for a payment plan (in the portal)
Donors can ask to pay a pledge over time — they pick how many months, and your office sets it up.

Pay over time
Under an open commitment, the donor opens "Pay over time".
"Pay over time" is under each open commitment after signing in. - 2
Pick the months
"Monthly payments": 2 to 24 months, each showing about how much a month (e.g. "6 months — about $60 a month"). They can add a note.

Ask
They press "Ask for a payment plan". It shows under "Your requests".

Your office
It arrives in To do → "Donor requests". See "A donor asks for a payment plan" for what staff do next.

Tips
- Nothing is charged by asking — the office sets up the plan and lets them know.
- The office's answer shows under "Your requests" in the portal.
If something isn't working
"Too many requests — we'll be in touch".
More than 10 requests in an hour. The office already has them.
The donor doesn't see "Pay over time".
It shows only on open commitments with something left to pay.
