Keep a record of every call, meeting or visit on the person's page, and set a follow-up so you (or a colleague) remember to call back.

  1. 1

    Open the person's Activity

Open the person. On the Overview tab, the “Activity” box shows everything: gifts, commitments, messages and notes, newest first.

    The Activity list.
  2. 2

    Log what happened

At the top of Activity, choose Note, Call, Meeting, Visit or Email, type what happened (for example “called to say thank you”) and click “Log”.

Log a call or a note.
  3. 3

    Add a follow-up

In “Follow-ups”, type what needs doing in “Add a follow-up…”, pick the date, choose who should do it (or “Anyone”), and click “Add follow-up”.

    Follow-ups with a date and a person.
  4. 4

    Where follow-ups show

Follow-ups due within a week appear on Home under “Needs attention” and in “To do”. A late one shows its date in red.

  5. 5

    Mark it done

Click the small circle next to the follow-up. It disappears from the lists.

Tips

  • Logging a call also tells Yahiv's “Who to call today” list not to suggest them again too soon.
  • Notes can be in Hebrew or Yiddish — the box types in either direction.

If something isn't working

It says “Task needs text and date”.

Fill in both the follow-up text and the date before clicking “Add follow-up”.
