Before you start

  • You are an Owner or Admin.
  1. 1

    Open Custom fields

Go to Settings → Custom fields. The page is called “Custom donor fields”.

    Settings → Custom fields.
  2. 2

    Add a field

In an empty row, type the “Field label” (for example “Yeshiva”), choose the type: Text, Number, Date or Dropdown.

    Type the field's name.
  3. 3

    Dropdown choices

For a Dropdown, type the choices in “Dropdown options, comma separated”, for example “Lakewood, Mir, Ponevezh”.

Choices for a dropdown, separated by commas.
  4. 4

    Save

Click “Save fields”. Four new empty rows appear each time, so you can keep adding.

    Save your fields.
  5. 5

    Fill them in

The fields now show at the bottom of every person's Edit page under “Custom fields”, and on their page under “More details”.

Tips

  • To remove a field, clear its label and save.
  • When importing a spreadsheet, any column can be kept as a custom field (“Keep as custom field”).

If something isn't working

My field doesn't show on people.

Make sure you clicked “Save fields”, and look at the bottom of the person's Edit page.

I renamed a field and the old answers are still there.

That's right — renaming keeps the answers. Only clearing the label removes the field.
