Before you start

  • Your login has "See the chesed fund & gemach". Owners and Admins have it.
  1. 1

    Open the chesed fund

Click "Chesed & gemach" in the top bar. You're on "Chesed fund". The boxes show "Families helped", "Given out this year" and "Applications waiting".

Only people you allow can see this page.
  2. 2

    Add a family

Under "Add a family" type the name, Hebrew name, phone, city, address and "People in household". Click "Add".

    The family's details.
  3. 3

    Record what you gave

On the family's page, under "Given", type the amount, how ("Check", "Cash", "Card", "Gift card", "Food voucher", "Other"), the date, "From fund…", and a check or card number. Click "Record".

Open a family from "Families" to record help.
  4. 4

    Use funds

"From fund…" lists your designations, so you can see money in and out of each fund (e.g. "Kimcha d'Pischa").

  5. 5

    Private notes

Under "Details" keep "Private notes" and untick "Still helping" when you stop.

Tips

  • Families here are not in People — they never get receipts, appeals or bulk messages.
  • Search by English or Hebrew name at the top of "Families".

If something isn't working

"How much was given?"

Type an amount above 0.

A staff member can see the chesed fund who shouldn't.

In Settings → Team & roles, untick "See the chesed fund & gemach" for them.
