Build your website

Every Yahiv account comes with its own website at its own address. Pick a design, change the words and pictures, add pages, then press Publish — donors can give, sponsor, see your zmanim and more, right on it.

Sign in to Yahiv

Before you start

  • Owner or Admin — or a team member given the "Website" permission (Settings → Team).
  1. 1

    Open Website

Click "Website" in the top menu. The first time, Yahiv makes a starter site for you from your own details — your name, address, campaigns, sponsorships and zmanim — so there's always something to start from. Your web address is shown at the top (for example ohrchaim.yahiv.com).

  2. 2

    Pick a design

Press "Change design" and choose one of 48 designs. Each one is shown with your own name and information. "Preview" opens it in a new tab; "Use this design" switches to it. Your pages and words stay — only the look changes. See "Pick a design for your website".

  3. 3

    Change a page

Under "Your pages", press "Edit" on a page. Click any part of the page in the preview on the right (or in the list on the left) and change its words, pictures and look. Every change is saved by itself a moment later — you'll see "All changes saved" at the top.

  4. 4

    Add blocks

In the editor, open "+ Add a block" and pick what you need: a big welcome picture, words, a donation form, a campaign thermometer, zmanim, davening times, Parnas HaYom, sponsorships, events, a photo gallery, a video, your team, questions & answers, a contact form, a map and more. It goes under the block you picked; move it with the ▲ ▼ arrows.

  5. 5

    See it on a phone

Press "📱 Phone" above the preview to see how the page looks on a phone. Every design works on phones by itself.

  6. 6

    Publish

When you're happy, press "Publish my website" (or "Publish changes"). Visitors only ever see what you published — you can keep changing things and publish again whenever you like. Changed your mind? "Undo changes" goes back to what's live.

Tips

  • Undo (or Ctrl+Z) takes back your last changes in the editor, one at a time.
  • Colours, fonts, the menu, the announcement bar at the top and the footer are under "Colours, fonts, menu & footer".
  • Your giving pages, sponsorship page, donor portal and forms keep working on your website's address too.
  • Want your own domain, like www.yourshul.org? Ask Yahiv to turn on "Own web address" and set it up in Settings → Own web address.

If something isn't working

There's no "Website" in the top menu.

Only Owners and Admins see it (or people given the Website permission). If you're an Owner and still don't see it, the website builder isn't part of your account yet — contact Yahiv.

The donation form says it shows once a card processor is connected.

Connect a processor in Settings → Payment processors. Until then visitors can't give on the form.

My change doesn't show on my site.

Press Publish. Visitors see only what was published.
