Sample data and your free trial
New accounts can start with a fictional shul full of sample people, gifts and pledges so you can practise. When you're ready, remove it in one click. Your trial needs no card.

How you know you have sample data
Admins see a yellow bar on Home: “You're looking at sample data”. Sample people carry the tag “demo” and a note “Sample person — not a real donor.” All sample card gifts are on the “Test mode” processor — no real money.

Practise freely
Record gifts, pledges and refunds on sample people. Open the sample campaigns, the shared pledge, the recurring gifts and the dinner. Nothing goes to real donors.
Everyone tagged “demo” is a sample person. - 3
Bring in your real data
When you're ready, click “Import your data” in the yellow bar. It opens Settings → Import.
“Import your data” opens the import page. - 4
Remove the sample data
Click “Remove the sample data” and confirm. Everything the fictional shul added is deleted: people, gifts, commitments, recurring gifts, campaigns, events, the raffle. Anything you added yourself stays.
One click removes all the sample data. - 5
Your trial
A new account starts with a free trial with everything open. Home and Settings → Plan & billing show the days left. Yahiv sets up your plan with you before it ends.

Tips
- If you recorded a real gift on a sample person, that person is kept (without the “demo” tag) when you remove the sample data.
- A real gift filed under a sample campaign stays — it just loses the campaign.
- After the trial, without a plan, Yahiv becomes view-only. Donations still come in and you can still download everything.
If something isn't working
After removing, some sample people are still there.
You recorded real activity on them, so they were kept on purpose. The message says how many. You can remove them yourself from People if they aren't real.
I don't see the yellow sample data bar.
Only Owners and Admins see it, and only while sample data is there. If you signed up without sample data, there is nothing to remove.
