Refund part of a card gift
Give back only some of a card gift — for example the extra $18 of a $198 charge. The rest stays as the donor's gift.

Open the card gift
Open the gift's page from the person's Gifts tab.

Change the amount
In “Refund / void”, the box shows what's left to refund. Change it to the amount you want to give back.
Type how much to refund. - 3
Refund
Click “Refund” and confirm. You see “Refund processed”, or “Refund sent — the processor accepted it and will confirm it in a few days”.

Check the gift
The gift now shows “Refunded” with the amount and its status is “Part refunded”. Totals count only what's left.
Tips
- You can refund in several steps, up to the full amount.
- OJC / Matbia / charity card grants can only be refunded in full.
If something isn't working
It says “Invalid refund amount”.
The amount is more than what's left on the gift. Check the “Refunded” line.
It says “Another refund of this gift is in progress”.
Wait a minute and refresh the page before trying again.
It says “DAF grants can only be voided in full”.
Charity card grants can't be partly refunded. Refund it all and record the right amount again.
