Before you start

  • Owner.
  • A phone you can answer right now (the number you want to show).
  1. 1

    Open Phone giving line

Settings → "Phone giving line" → "Caller ID for your robocalls".

  2. 2

    Type the number

Type the number (with area code) and, if you like, a name just for you, such as Office. Press "Verify this number".

  3. 3

    Prove it's yours

Either the phone company calls the number right away (answer it and type the 6-digit code shown on the screen, then press Check), or it texts a code to the number (type the code and press Verify). The screen tells you which.

  4. 4

    Done

The number shows as "verified". It now appears in the Caller ID list when you send phone calls from Send a message.

Tips

  • Caller ID is for calls only. Texts always come from your texting number — the phone companies don't allow texting from a number that isn't on your line.
  • Remove a caller ID any time with Remove.

If something isn't working

"Not verified yet — answer the call and type the code".

The call wasn't answered or the code wasn't typed. Press Check again after typing it, or remove the number and start over.

"Phone calls aren't switched on yet".

Robocalls aren't set up for your account yet. Contact Yahiv.

My verified number isn't in the list when I send.

It only shows for phone calls, not texts. If your phone setup changed (for example you connected your own Twilio account), verify the number again.
