Put the big screen on a TV or projector
How to get the live campaign screen onto the hall TV or projector, full screen, so it runs all night.
Before you start
- A big-screen link (see "Make a big-screen link"), or night mode open.
- A computer connected to the TV or projector (HDMI), or a smart TV with a web browser.
- 1
Connect the computer
Plug the laptop into the TV or projector with an HDMI cable. On Windows press Win+P and choose "Duplicate" or "Second screen only".
Make the link first, then open it on the TV computer. - 2
Open the link
On that computer open the screen link (copy it from "Your screen" on the Big screen page, or click "Open big screen ↗" in night mode).
Open the link on the projector computer. - 3
Full screen
Press F11. The browser bars disappear and only the screen shows.
- 4
Stop the computer from sleeping
In Windows Settings → System → Power, set "Screen" and "Sleep" to "Never" while plugged in.
- 5
Check it moves
Record a small test gift in night mode and watch it pop up within a few seconds. Then click "Undo last gift".
Record a test gift, then undo it.
Tips
- No need to sign in on the projector computer — the link works by itself for 60 days.
- On a smart TV, open the TV's web browser and type the link (or open it on the laptop and send it to the TV).
- Turn the volume off — the screen has no sound.
If something isn't working
The screen is cut off at the edges.
On the TV's remote look for "Picture size" or "Aspect ratio" and choose "Just fit" or "Screen fit".
It shows "Paused" in the corner.
Someone paused it from night mode. Click "Resume screen" in night mode.
The page shows "not found".
The link may be older than 60 days or copied partly. Make a fresh link.
