Other countries and currencies (Israel, UK, Canada)
Accept gifts in other currencies, issue Israeli or Canadian receipts, and claim UK Gift Aid.
- 1
Add currencies
Settings → "Profile & branding" → "Other countries & currencies": type each currency and its rate, one per line, for example ILS = 0.27. See "Set exchange rates".
Currencies, section 46 and Gift Aid reference. - 2
Record in that currency
Cash and check gifts can then be recorded in that currency. The receipt shows what they gave and the converted amount.
Choose the currency when recording a cash or check gift. - 3
Israel
Add your section 46 number, and each donor's ID number on their profile. See "Israeli (section 46) and Canadian (CRA) receipts".
Receipt format for Israel or Canada. - 4
UK Gift Aid
Add your HMRC charity reference, tick each donor's Gift Aid declaration, and claim from Insights → "Gift Aid (UK)". See "Claim UK Gift Aid".
Your HMRC charity reference.
Tips
- Rates don't update by themselves — change them when you need to.
- Card gifts are charged in your processor's currency.
If something isn't working
The currency isn't offered when recording a gift.
Add it with a rate under "Other countries & currencies" first.
A receipt shows the wrong converted amount.
The rate at the time was used. Fix the rate for future gifts; correct the gift's amount if needed.
